As wedding photographers, we’ve had the opportunity to see a lot of wedding venues in PA.
We have a unique experience every time we go to capture a wedding day because we often see these venues from a different perspective - sometimes getting access to “off limits” areas, meeting and working with the owners & staff, and getting to know the spaces intimately as we look for the perfect photo locations at each.
We have created this curated and frequently updated list of PA wedding venues to be a resource for brides & grooms searching for the perfect venue for their own wedding days.
The venues we have collected on this page are diverse and reputable - catering to a large range of wedding aesthetics and vibes. Outdoor, rustic, industrial, traditional, ballroom - just refer to the venue styles, sample images, and the additional link resources we’ve included to learn more about each of these locations.
Fun tip – any locations you see with a are our personal favorites!

We like to refer to Lock Ridge Park as a “haven for photographers”. It has to be one of the most popular photography spots for engagement and family photographers. While some places have needless hype, we can actually understand why. And we have to admit – we love Lock Ridge ourselves!
If your unfamiliar, Lock Ridge Park is operated by Lehigh County, and features the remnants of an industrial buildings now passed. Weddings are typically held in the open air historic mill (though you wouldn’t be able to tell that’s what it was once).
Lock Ridge is suitable for wedding ceremonies and photos that follow. Due to the size, it’s intended for smaller guest counts as well.
As far as wedding venues in Pennsylvania go, this is also a very cheap and affordable option, only requiring a fairly minimal permit fee.

The Renaissance Hotel has become a staple wedding venue in Center City Allentown. We hear of people traveling from far and wide around the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, and beyond to get married here. The convenience of location is definitely going to appeal to a lot of couples as it’s so easy for friends and family to come in and have plenty to do in the area. The hotel itself is really unique for wedding celebrations – with ample space in the hotel rooms and suites for preparations, and the reception hall providing a great ballroom space that overlooks the city. Our favorite part was definitely the outdoor terrace! It was all complimented by great staff – so a great venue choice!

Brew Works has become a bit of a staple in the Lehigh Valley for a fun dining experience. There are multiple event spaces available to be rented for indoor wedding ceremonies & receptions. Their “High Gravity” rooms features exposed brick and LED string lights that created a modern industrial look - and this space works beautifully for the ceremony. Other rooms are similar to traditional banquet halls, and are selected based on the number of guests you will have attending. Aside from it’s convenient downtown location (within walking distance of the Renaissance Hotel if you want to get prepped there), many couples choose this location because included in your rental cost is a wait staff and custom food options (all catering is handled in house).

Monterre Vineyards is a wedding venue in the Lehigh Valley area – located just outside of Allentown in Orefield, PA. As you might be able to guess, it’s a vineyard – so if you like wine and that type of atmosphere, this may just appeal to you!
Even if wine isn’t 100% your thing, this venue is actually unique compared to other vineyards in the area where a wedding can be hosted. The ceremony site is under a unique tree (includes string lights for night portraits!), and the reception is held in one of the more interesting reception spaces we’ve been in.
In our experience, Monterre is a great space if you like the vibe + knowing your day will be well coordinated and pretty regimented. The day of coordinator is very helpful and proactive to make sure you are being cared for, and helps to keep the day running smoothly.

Located in the heart of Allentown, The Barristers Club is a unique banquet hall styled wedding venue that also manages to be affordable for more budget conscious couples when compared with other similar venues in the city and surrounding Lehigh Valley. For couples using this space to host a fun reception, it just makes perfect sense. As wedding photographers, we of course love the potential that comes from the location as it’s so easy to add stops over to the Allentown Art’s Walk or Rose Gardens for portraits on route to the party!

Vault 634 is one of the coolest and most unique wedding venues in the Lehigh Valley for those with a love for eloquent and luxurious spaces. This wedding venue is found in the historic Lehigh Valley Trust Building. We are really drawn to the “old time” vibes that beautifully pair with the modern renovations in the space. The 900 foot Victorian stain glass ceiling is a dream! Located in the heart of downtown Allentown, it is also a really convenient place for everyone to get to.

Miller Symphony Hall is a staple in Allentown’s art and entertainment. It is a beautiful theater that regularly hosts performances, and can be converted for private events and weddings. We find that a lot of artistic types are drawn to the idea of “getting married in a theatre”, and it’s a really great concept. What appeals most to us about Miller is being able to utilize the stage. We’ve seen images of wedding ceremonies held on them, as well as really cool smaller sized receptions hosted their under the stage lights. There are additional reception rooms available as well.

Stoudt’s Brewery is a popular PA beer creator, and has it’s hub in Adamstown, PA (about 30 minutes from Lancaster). It is a distinctly German brewery, and the German/PA Dutch decor throughout the venue will surely appeal to many in the area. The large reception space is really awesome and laid out well for guests to be able to relax and have a good time. The indoor lawn games like cornhole were a nice touch and kept the kids busy all night! Stoudt’s also hosts wedding ceremonies and is connected to a little community that looks plucked right out of Europe that makes for a unique backdrop for wedding photos.

Columcille is one of the best kept secrets in Northeast Pennsylvania. A few years ago, when we first came across this park, we were blown away. It is a privately owned location open to the public, serving as a natural location intended for finding some peace and tranquility from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The staple features throughout the property are the megalith stones – reminding us significantly of places like Stonehenge in Europe (but all so conveniently in our backyard!).
It’s certainly a non-traditional wedding venue, but could make the perfect fit for you.

The Ice House is one of our favorite wedding venues in Bethlehem, PA. We’d go so far as to say it is one of the best in the greater Lehigh Valley region. It is a space that is very much DIY, and your experience will be impacted by the other wedding vendors you have for the day (catering, photographers, coordinators, etc.). However, what this space offers is a really beautiful industrial setting that is distinctly “Bethlehem.” The ambiance of the reception hall is one of our absolute favorites thanks to the glow of the string lights. It is also so conveniently located in the city that moving friends & family from a church or other ceremony venue is easy to do. Highly recommended!

The Banana Factory is another staple of the city of Bethlehem – immediately recognizable to anyone who lives in the area. They do a lot to support the local art scene. It’s also a unique and extremely affordable wedding venue in the Lehigh Valley that is suitable for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
The indoor ceremony space is in the main art exhibit hall, and we love it thanks to the infusion of natural light and the art pieces on the wall that will remind you your getting married in an art gallery. If you are looking for a unique, affordable, and outdoor wedding venue hidden away in the Lehigh Valley, Camel’s Hump Farm is just for you. Located near Northampton Community College, it’s a non-profit farm owned and operated by the Johnson Estate. The space is entirely DIY – and the wedding we captured there featured a lot of handmade décor and a tented reception. It was really simple and beautiful, and on a warm summer night was perfect.

Packer Memorial Chapel is one of the most beautiful churches in the Lehigh Valley in our experience. Located on the Lehigh University campus, it is also a convenient space for holding a traditional Christian wedding ceremony followed by photos around the universities grounds. From the outside, the Gothic architecture has always been appealing to us, and inside the long aisle and warm light (thanks to the stain glass) really is a sight to behold.
The only downside to Packer Memorial Chapel is that there are limits on who can get married there – generally you need a direct connection to someone who is associated with Lehigh.

Lehigh University’s Iacocca Hall is one of the Lehigh Valley’s best wedding reception venues. The thing we love most about it is the simplicity of the space. The Pump House B&B is one of the best rustic wedding venues in Pennsylvania. In fact, we would go so far as to say it is one of the best wedding venues in this state. We are a little biased as we got married here ourselves. But, if we’re being objective, they also offer a lot of great perks beyond just a space to get married and party.
For most couples who rent The Pump House for their weddings, they have days in advance to get things set up (great for DIY weddings), the ability to rent on site lodging for friends & family, complimentary “day after” the wedding breakfast, and more.
Since our wedding, we’ve returned and photographed other couples at this space, and we’ve seen them have much the same experience as we did. They love each other, and the venue provided a great backdrop to celebrate that love!

Talking about this unique wedding venue begins with a brief history lesson.
The Philander Chase Knox home is traditionally known as the site of Maxwell's Quarters. Brigadier General William Maxwell, commander of the New Jersey Brigade, established his headquarters near this site during the Valley Forge encampment. A small section of the house may have stood during the encampment. Since then, the house has exchanged hands several times since 1774 – passing from industrialists and millionaires to Attorney General Philander Knox (which the property is named after) and most recently the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as it is now a part of the larger Valley Forge Historical Park.
This seasoned history provides a beautiful backdrop for a wedding today. The grounds are beautiful – especially in spring, summer, and fall where the outdoor environments will be complimented by lush colors surrounding you. Our favorite spot on the property has to be the old greenhouse, which lends itself well to photos!

Kings Mills is a wedding venue outside of Philadelphia that offers a traditional banquet hall blended with a medieval-esque aesthetic. It’s setting is highly convenient and accessible (even for older members of the family), while still providing a great backdrop. The wedding ceremony space is simply beautiful – feeling like the hollowed out remnant of an old building that is perfectly quaint. The venue is situated along a creek, which adds a great background for wedding photos as well.
It’s worth mentioning, there are quite a few limitations at this venue imposed on clients and wedding vendors. For photography, there are limits to the type of lighting that can be used and where it can be positioned, which can be impactful to getting photos in the reception hall for some styles. These terms are manageable, but a little out of the ordinary and it’s worth reviewing before choosing this as your venue. However, with that said, the owners and staff (in our experience) were otherwise very easy to work with.

One of our favorite Pennsylvania wedding venues is really tucked away and off the beaten path. J. Edward Mack is a Boy Scout Reservation - so if the idea of using a really natural space designed for camping and other rustic outdoor activities is attractive to you, this will be a perfect fit. The ceremony site features a wooden A-frame stage - it’s simply stunning. Receptions can also be held under an open air pavilion. Highly recommended from us!

Barn Swallow Farm is a magical barn wedding venue hidden away in Pennsylvania. It never ceases to amaze us how many barn styled venues there are in this state, yet so many of them offer unique takes that keep things interesting. Visually, the red barn that you immediately see when you pull onto the property really draws the eye. Our favorite part of this venue is it’s ceremony space – featuring a tree lined babbling creek.

Cozzi Acres is a rustic wedding venue found just outside of Pittsburgh. While the venue itself is new, it's charm is historic with it's buildings and land going back to use in the 1800's as a teaching farm. For brides really keen on keeping their wedding very country and laid back, this is a great gem!

Maybe the most affordable Philly wedding venue is simply getting married at the City Hall courthouse. For couples who really want to be budget conscious (or maybe save money for the honeymoon?!), this is a simple way to tie the knot. In our experience, we think courthouse weddings get a bad rep, because marriage should ultimately be about the couple, what they want, and their shared goals together. While we love big weddings, we also care about the small intimate ones like you might find here.
One of the great things about being married at City Hall is, after the little ceremony with the Justice of the Peace, you are welcome to have wedding portraits taken to commemorate the day. Some couples later in the evening may throw a party for friends & family or book a reception space.

Race Street Pier is one the best Philadelphia wedding locations that isn’t a “traditional” venue. To have a ceremony here, you essentially just have to schedule a day + time, and pay a permit fee for use. The view is really a great one (and makes a regular appearance in our Philly engagement photos!).

The Farm Bakery & Events is one of the most popular and best wedding venues in the Lehigh Valley. Unlike some rustic venues that are in
the middle of nowhere, The Farm is just minutes away from major highways (309 and 78). The accessibility is one attractive factor for many couples planning a wedding here.
Of course, no one chooses a venue just because you can get to it easily. :) We really love The Farm Bakery top-down thanks to great owners and staff, the beautiful setting, and extra bonus of the baked goods that come from here!

The Lodge at Mountain Springs Lake Resort (try saying that 5 times fast!) is an amazingly diverse and all-inclusive wedding venue. We love venues like this where the entire wedding day (+ more) can be held on the property. Rooms can be rented for overnight lodging, the bride & groom suites allow for morning preparations on the big day, the outdoor ceremony space is a dream, and the reception in the banquet hall is simple and eloquent.
As photographers, we of course love all the nooks-and-crannies and little things that might go unnoticed on the property as well. The groom suite wall paper and the diverse mix of backdrops (Want sandy beach? You got it. Want nature and trees? You got it. Want a lake? You got it!) are just a few of our favorites.

Promise Ridge is, truly, one of the most unique wedding venues in Pennsylvania. We have seen and heard about many different venues around this state, and this is one that comes up again and again for offering something distinctly different than the average venue.
It is located in the Poconos region of Northeastern Pennsylvania, and was designed with intimate weddings and elopements in mind. Offering mountain views and a breathtaking ceremony space, it is the perfect place to get your family & closest friends together while you tie the knot.

The Stroudsmoor is a very popular Pocono wedding and event venue complex. Fiddle Lake Farm is a rustic wedding photographers dream location (and of course – couples will love it too!). The layout of this venue makes it really distinct in our mind, especially considering how popular “barn weddings” are these days. What is so great about this venue is that you can keep your entire wedding day on site (if you want), from morning prep in one of the guest houses to the grand finale at the end of the night. With multiple ceremony spots to choose from and the cool reception space that includes the fully enclosed barn & indoor/outdoor pavilion (really great for summer weddings!), it’s a great PA wedding venue for sure.

Located in Northern Pennsylvania, The Barn at Windswept Farm is a new rustic farm wedding venue that will be opening in late summer/early fall 2021. The newness of the venue makes it an especially great option for couples looking for somewhere different where no one else has gotten married, as well as for those on more of a budget as their prices are incredibly reasonable for what is included. We will definitely be keeping our eyes on this one for future weddings!

Historic Ashland is an upscale farm & barn wedding venue located in the larger Lancaster, PA area (specifically in Wrightsville). It’s easy to envision this being a preferred wedding venue for couples wanting a simple and eloquent backdrop at all times of year. We had the opportunity to see this venue decked out in Christmas décor, and it really added something special, particularly in the reception hall that is warm and refreshing thanks to the large stone fireplace, wood floors and exposed beams, and abundance of natural light.

Hickory Run State Park is a gorgeous location for small intimate weddings and elopement ceremonies. It’s certainly not a “traditional” wedding venue, but for couples looking to do something unique, outdoors, and (honestly) on the cheap – it’s a welcome option to consider. Getting married at Hickory Run State Park is very simple to do, you contact the State Park’s office, get a permit (the cost is minimal), and that’s it. You may consider hiring an officiant and photographer/videographer to help remember the day.
It’s worth noting, Hickory Run is a large park, and you have many options for where to have your wedding ceremony. One popular spot is at Hawk Falls, another is at a little chapel on the grounds (also available to use if it rains).
If you are considering a small wedding or elopement here (or at another state park), feel free to contact us. We can help you learn more as we have experience assisting with planning + photographing these occasions!

Whitewoods wedding venue really took us by surprise when we saw it for the first time. On the outside, it gives off an almost camp-like vibe – which is perfect for couples wanting to definitely have the influence of nature. But, once you enter the reception hall, you’re treated to a modern-yet-rustic looking interior that looks plucked right out of Chip and Joanna Gaines (Fixer Upper) handbook. It’s one of the more beautiful reception spaces we’ve seen in PA!

Heritage Hills is a premier wedding venue in Central Pennsylvania. It offers multiple locations on site for hosting wedding ceremonies & receptions (which does mean multiple weddings are scheduled on the same day), but in our experience the complex is large enough and banquet halls distinctly separated that you don’t feel this much. At Heritage Hills, you will be treated to lush green backdrops for the ceremony & wedding photos, and the reception halls are surprisingly modern and appealing (we photographed a wedding in one with a lot of windows which added a lot of natural light into the space!).
One of the biggest draws for couples getting married here is that it really is an “all inclusive wedding venue” in Pennsylvania. You (and your guests) can also arrange for rooms on site for preparation and staying the night.
