Sophia & Andy initially were thinking about having an engagement shoot in Philly, but decided they wanted to revisit their alma mater for these photos as they’ll be getting married in 2020 at Waterworks in the city. This turned out to be a real treat as Bryn Mawr College is filled with unique old architecture that almost instantly gave us Hogwarts vibes (Harry Potter fans please rise!).

It was our first time visiting this college for their sunrise shoot (we were on the road by 5am driving to meet these two!). They had gotten in touch with the school and got special permission to use the little courtyard area you’ll see in some shots in this gallery – which was a really incredible thing. Having this space all to ourselves with the warm sun rising was awesome!

As we walked around the campus, these two shared about their experiences at different places and it was a great time all around. Bryn Mawr is now on our “yes – let’s shoot there!” list for future couples wanting this type of vibe in their own engagement photos.
