There’s no better way to end an engagement photo session during the summer than a dip in the ocean at Sandy Hook Beach in New Jersey. Shannon & Adam were up for anything, and after some quick photos at Fort Hancock while chasing the light, they kicked off the end of their session by popping a bottle of champagne, then getting in the water for fun and moody + romantic photos.

Out of all the things we get to do as photographers, these types of sessions are our favorites. It allows fun loving couples to really be themselves, have a great time, and walk away with a ton of photos that seamlessly blend candid moments with our guidance to pose for others. Couples like these are so passionately in love that it comes out so perfectly – joyous laughter and smiles, and the occasional more serious and intimate photos. It’s amazing!
