Courtney + Ryan | Garner Arts Center | NYC Industrial Wedding

When we first met Courtney & Ryan for their engagement photos at Fort Tryon Park in New York City, we immediately knew it would be a blast capturing every moment of this exciting journey for them. They way they described their dream vision for their wedding day too had us so excited to see everything pan out.

During their engagement session, their sense of style radiated from their outfit choices (seriously – check out their engagement photos to see for yourself!) and it was only matched by their authentic and fun personalities so perfectly.

It also probably helped that we clicked with their vision from the first email we received for an industrial wedding reception to be held at Garner Arts Center – a really unique venue that features plenty of exposed brick, wood beams, string lights, and little odds and ends that make up this incredible DIY artistic space. The alleyway leading to the entrance of the venue space was also to die for – you can see it on full display in the portrait section of this post!

So much planning went into creating an amazing wedding day for these two, and it really shows!! We especially thank Jack and Grace Events – the wedding planners who were great collaborators with us before the wedding and on the day as we ran from separate prep locations (guys at a hotel, girls at a parent’s home), to St. Augustine’s Church in New City, NY for their wedding ceremony, and ending at Garner Arts Center where cocktail hour drinks flowed right into a really rad dance party!

There is really so much to love about this wedding day from a photography perspective when we look back on it. Garner Arts Center was gorgeous on it’s own because we just love that industrial vibe, and these two brought their own elements like a neon sign with their last name and a Met’s jersey guestbook (super cool idea for the baseball fans out there!). All of the thought that went into the look and feel of their day couldn’t have unfolded more perfectly.

Most of all – Courtney and Ryan’s wedding day turned into what everyone really dreams of at the end of the day: an amazing party with friends & family having a great time and making it known.

As we walked around the outdoor cocktail hour grabbing candid shots, everyone was so warm and excited to jump in and have their pictures taken – something we’ve noticed really adds a special spark to the wedding galleries we deliver. These vibes literally went on all night!!
