Salena and Stephen were one of the first couples we had that needed to reschedule their wedding due to the pandemic, and just as quickly in 2020 reconsidered what their wedding day could look like. Last year, they were “officially” married in the woods in a self-uniting marriage ceremony with us there to document the special occasion. While they made it official then, there’s something special about these bigger days with friends & family around to celebrate, too!

They had an amazing day at the Loft at Jack’s Barn, which is a really unique wedding venue with a lot of rustic charm. We loved the vibe and this special couple who we’ve gotten to know over the years.

“We hired Jes and Chris back in January of 2019 – not knowing just how long our wedding planning process would be. While 2020 had it’s many twists and turns, Jes and Chris were extremely flexible with our rescheduling along the way. When we postponed our original wedding ceremony, we decided to elope in the meantime. We still wanted photos of this special day and they were more than helpful in capturing it. Jes helped us find the perfect location and plan out the perfectly smooth morning. With just the 4 of us there, Jes and Chris served as the witnesses for our self-uniting elopement, which was extra special. 

Fast forward to April of 2020, we had our “traditional” ceremony and reception. Jes and Chris were there throughout the day, not only to capture the photographs, but also helping with odds and ends (thanks Jes, for all of the help with my hair and bustle). The evening went smooth and they knew exactly when to pull us away for more portraits so that we didn’t feel like we were missing out on the party.

Not only have we received 3 galleries of beautiful photos to remember our special day(s), but we also feel like we have made great friends along the way. Thank you so much Jes & Chris!”
