It’s easy to say that WoodsEdge Alpaca Farm in Stockton, New Jersey is one of the most unique wedding venues around.
On the surface, it has all the “right” elements to make for a great rustic venue space – a barn reception space and beautiful natural areas for wedding ceremonies, mingling room, and of course beautiful photography backdrops.
What makes Woods Edge so special, though, is Larry (the spokesman, err…spokes-llama…) and crew who will immediately have newly married bride & grooms (+ their family & friends) with permanent smiles stuck on their faces the entire day.
Why It’s Great for Weddings
Weddings at Woods Edge can be held from May – October and can accommodate up to 400 guests on it’s 90 acres in New Jersey. During this time of year, it is really ideal to truly cherish the environment that surrounds you, soaking up some sun with farm animals in tow.
From our experience documenting a wedding at this venue, it’s safe for us to tell you how incredible this place is from start to finish. The setting is immediately appealing to those who envision a rustic styled wedding, and the compliment of the alpacas, llamas, and other special guests (like the Tibetan yak!) really just amps up the excitement people have for it. For sure, when we first saw the inquiry from the couple we worked with and saw “alpaca farm” mentioned – we knew this was the place for us.
Woods Edge Farm features beautiful Getting Ready suites for the bride, groom, and their bridal parties that are naturally lit with large windows – they are a great way to get the day started. Excitement will churn as you see guests begin to arrive and make their way to the ceremony site of your choosing. The time in between spent with friends, family, and your new animal friends will be amazing, and when it’s finally time for the party to start, the 20,000 square foot Event Barn is the ideal place for you. The barn features twinkle lights, up lighting, custom farmhouse tables and cushioned chairs (included in your package), and hay bails piled high.
All of the “features” aside, it’s also impossible to ignore the great owners who bring their all to your day. From offering help and ideas to make sure your day turns out just like you’d dream, to running back and forth on the day in a golf cart to make sure things turn out on the day.
