The Lodge at Mountain Springs Lake Resort is a gorgeous Poconos wedding venue that features amazing accommodation options and all-inclusive wedding packages.
As wedding photographers, we often like to reflect on beautiful venues we’ve had the opportunity to capture photos at, and this one is no exception. The Lodge features so many beautiful spaces for photos on it’s 325 private acres – country roads, meadows, sandy beaches, lake and mountain backdrops, cabins, and more. All of these things merge together to create an atmosphere that is altogether natural, romantic, traditional, yet rustic and customizable all the same.
A beautiful late November wedding we captured here back in 2018 went on to be featured in a 2-page spread in Lehigh Valley Style Magazine (January 2019 edition).
Why It’s Great for Weddings
One thing we consistently love to see in wedding venues is the opportunity for our couples to have their entire day on one single property. While this may not make sense for all couples, especially those with religious affiliations that would make them want to have a ceremony in a church, for many this will be immediately attractive as it can do wonders to alleviate stress and logistical planning that can make weddings a headache.
The Lodge at Mountain Springs Lake Resort only hosts one event at a time, and your package includes exclusive use to the Verandah Reception Room, Historic Inn, Gathering Suite, Cocktail Courtyard, and surrounding grounds for photos and fun.
Also included is The Lodge’s dinner menu options, as well as wedding planning & coordination teams. Not having to worry about finding an external provider for these services makes this a great one stop shop for many inquiring future bride & grooms.
Going into a little more detail about the spaces –
The Verandah Reception Room is a beautiful ballroom that allows for seating of up 200 guests. It includes a wall of windows that overlooks an antique red barn, brook, and pond. The ceremony site is right outside – making for quick transitions from one space to the next. You can see a floor plan of the reception hall here, and take note of the great features such as the dance floor, bar, musician/DJ space, cake, gift and placecard table. The space can also be customized with some DIY flair for those who want to add something extra to it!
In the same building at the reception space, upstairs you will find the Historic Suite. At the wedding we documented here, this was used by the groom & his groomsmen to get ready for the wedding day. We really loved the little knick-knacks, wall paper, and abundance of natural light. It made for a really cool looking area for portraits!
In another building nearby, the Bridal Spa is a great space for the bride & her bridesmaids to get ready for the big day. It features salon style seating and mirrors perfect for hair & makeup preparations.
The evening can be capped off with a stay in the Honeymoon Cottage for the bride & groom, guest cottages for family & friends (be sure to inquire about availability if this is important to you), and a post-wedding breakfast for close friends & family.
Whew! As you can see, there is so much included in a wedding day held at The Lodge at Mountain Springs Lake Resort. You can learn more by visiting their website here.
