The Banana Factory Arts Center is the premier art exhibition and studio space in the Lehigh Valley. Located in South Side Bethlehem, it is one of the iconic features of this city that has been a staple for many, many years.

In this post, we wanted to share with you some information about The Banana Factory when used to hold wedding events. These thoughts are our own after having the opportunity to photograph a wedding ceremony held there, and to find more information such as room availability and rates, be sure to check out their website here.

Why It’s Great for Weddings

The Banana Factory offers 3 spaces for events to be held:

• The Risbon Board Room (20 person capacity)

• The Banko Family Room Gallery (50 person capacity)

• The Crayola Gallery (125-200 person capacity depending on set up)

Our experience was seeing The Crayola Gallery used for a wedding ceremony. It could have also been converted into use for the wedding reception, but our couple had opted to transition the party to another popular Bethlehem destinations The Ice House.

As a ceremony site, this was an incredibly simple yet beautiful space. The walls were aligned with recent show pieces, and our bride (an artist herself) created a backdrop that represented the city she loved.

For couples with a natural passion for the arts, this is the type of venue that has the potential to speak volumes for them.
