Brick & Mortar Art Gallery, located in the Simon Silk Mill in Easton, PA, is a really unique place to hold a wedding ceremony.
Recently, we captured a very distinctly “Easton” wedding that featured Brick & Mortar as the ceremony location – then a brief walk over to the new Separatist Brewing Co. Blendery for the reception (a beautiful space itself!). You can see the full wedding photo gallery here.
As locals to Easton, we can really appreciate the impact this place has had on the community. From what we can gather, it really serves as a hub for art in the Lehigh Valley with art installations, music & entertainment nights, a design studio and more.
Why It’s Great for Weddings
There is not a huge amount to talk about when it comes to this space, but we were instantly attracted to the idea of an “art gallery wedding”. The space is very simple with white brick walls, and allows for you to bring your own custom artwork to add some DIY flair. In the case of the wedding we documented there, the couple had a friend who created two large banners that complimented the space.
For sure, Brick & Mortar is a non-traditional wedding venue. But, it can be a great choice for artistic types, and especially for those already planning for a wedding in Easton. The convenient location to a larger event space for receptions such as the aforementioned Separatist Blendery is really great – not to mention ample spots for wedding portraits at the Simon Silk Mill and on the Karl Stirner Arts Trail.
