Sarah and Zack’s September wedding at The Pump House was the perfect blend of woodsy, whimsical, and effortlessly fun. This venue is already one of our all-time favorites (we’re a little biased – we got married here ourselves in 2017!), and returning as preferred photographers always feels like stepping back into something familiar and magical. Nestled deep in the woods of Bloomsburg with limited cell service and peaceful surroundings, The Pump House creates the kind of wedding experience where everyone naturally slows down, relaxes, and enjoys a full weekend together.
Their day began right on the property – an early morning breakfast, followed by Sarah getting ready in the cozy bridal cabin with her closest people, and Zack prepping in one of the B&B rooms nearby. They shared a heartfelt first look followed by private vows, with their friends and family quietly watching from a distance. It was such an intimate, grounding moment before the celebrations kicked off. Sarah also shared emotional first looks with her dad and brothers, which ended up being one of the highlights of the entire morning.
The rest of the day flowed with a laid-back, casual energy that perfectly matched their vision. With no formal bridal party and no strict color palette, the aesthetic leaned into natural fall florals, warm textures, and the beauty of the wooded ceremony space by the creek. After the vows, cocktail hour blended right into the reception with minimal formalities – just great food, good drinks, laughter, and about 80 of their favorite people enjoying an evening together in the converted brick barn.
It was the kind of Pump House wedding we absolutely love: relaxed, meaningful, nature-filled, and full of moments that felt true to who Sarah and Zack are.
