Melissa + Gabe | Silver Birches | Lake Wallenpaupack | NEPA Wedding Photography

Melissa & Gabe planned a wedding from across the United States! These two live in sunny California (we are only sometimes jealous!), but wanted to get married in a place that made sense for their families to be able to easily travel to. They found Silver Birches, a little wedding venue tucked along the side of Lake Wallenpaupack in the Pocono Mountains.

From the first email we received, these two were so enthusiastic to have found our photography. After some chatting, we learned that Gabe is a bit of a hobbyist, and was actually the driving force behind going with our photography service.

Leading up to this wedding, we exchanged a few phone calls and emails, but nothing could prepare us for just how sweet these two were in real life. Watching them together, and seeing how they interacted with their friends & family was just a great time all around. We actually share a lot more in common with these two as well…both of us are high school sweethearts, and have a serious passion for travel!! Yes…in the days following their wedding, we couldn’t help but keep up with their travels to Hawaii for their honeymoon!!

Back to the wedding day here…the major events were all at Silver Birches, which has a lot of great spaces to get ready, take pictures together, and even the ceremony site (decked out with gorgeous florals) was perfect. The reception hall was great for the amount of guests!

We were treated to a little bit of rain right before the wedding ceremony, but Mother Nature decided to be on our side and quickly subsided just in time for things to get rolling. The rest was history as these two celebrated their love for each other until the night ended!
