There are few portrait locations as gorgeous in New Jersey as Ringwood State Park and Skylands Manor (which is found in the park). Incredible architecture and an abundance of natural life makes this stunning as a backdrop, and it’s only enhanced by sweet couples like Madison and Jared (that you’ll see in this photo gallery).

These two tied the knot in a small ceremony during 2020 (a year most of us would like to forget about), and wanted to take some photos to celebrate their anniversary. This session was so fun for as as photographers to get to know these two more and document their connection with each other.

Their session really got started in the planning phase – having secured permits from Ringwood State Park (a must for shooting at this location) and planning planning for great outfits. By the time we arrived for the session, we were all amp’d and ready to go!

Having previously visited the New Jersey Botanical Gardens (also on the property!) and photographed a wedding at Skylands Manor – we were ecstatic to be able to show these two around while also easily getting to some of the most photogenic spots along the way. We think the results can speak for themselves 🙂
