We don’t know whether to nerd out over Gilmore Girls with the references to this college, or get excited for the moody gothic architecture (maybe both??), but these Princeton University engagement photos we took of Mariella + Steve are some of our favorites this year.

You wouldn’t be able to tell from looking at these pics, but these fall photos were actually plan C or D. We originally started planning their session around January for March, then had to push it forward (thanks COVID!). We set a date in May to capture the spring blooms, but had to push it again…(thanks COVID!). One more summer date, and another reschedule. Finally, as fall came into view, we knew something would work out as we were in the midst of our busy season and fitting in new couples left-and-right.

With all the craziness, Princeton University turned out to be a great option, and one that resonates closely with these two. It was our first time getting to explore this little slice of Hogwarts (it totally feels like it was plucked out of Harry Potter!), but now it’s clear we know some of the best locations for photos at Princeton University.

To wrap up their session, we ended with a change of clothes and headed off campus around Princeton, New Jersey for some more natural scenery to end things out. All in all – a beautiful session for a beautiful couple!
