Oksana + Chris | Pat's 30 Acres | New Jersey Wedding Photography

Oksana & Chris had a really stunning wedding in ways we couldn’t have even anticipated.

We knew we wanted to work with them when they mentioned in their initial message to us that they were really drawn to the moody but natural style of wedding photography we have. We’re glad we were able to connect with them in this way – because the photos we got of them are seriously amazing!

Our day started out at Oksana & Chris’ getting ready locations (one of the perks of hiring a photography team like us!). Jes captured great shots of Oksana getting ready at her best friends house, and Chris did the same at his family home with Chris!

Though we didn’t have the chance to meet in person, they felt like good friends as soon as we walked in the door. Oksana’s sweet & bubbly personality was on full display throughout the entire day as she would regularly break out in dance. And Chris really got along with…Chris…thanks to their mutual love for music and a good glass of whiskey (we mention the latter of these things because Oksana’s Chris got a unique bottle of Jameson that he opened for the big day when he visited the Jameson distillery in Ireland).

After all the prep was done, we coordinated to get these two to Allaire State Park for their first look and some bridal party portraits.

From there, we moved over to Pat’s 30 Acres in Wall Township, NJ – their really off the beaten path open air wedding venue that was a beautiful treat. Taking a quick pause here – we didn’t really know what to expect when we looked up images of the venue beforehand (which were pretty lacking to be honest), but after shooting there we are totally sold. Not only are the owner’s great, but the property is really perfect for weddings – with a sweet ceremony spot, a uniquely laid out reception space, and plenty of interesting spots for wedding photos. You also have so much outdoor space to really create your dream wedding day vision!

As far as capturing their day, every single minute was an absolute blast. Oksana and Chris just really allowed us to capture every moment so uniquely and went along with every idea we had! And last but not least, smoke bombs… That’s right – they are freakin’ awesome to say the least and really add something special to these wedding portraits. Just take a look!!
