One of the promises we made to ourselves going into 2020 was to take more time to do creative styled shoots that resonate with us on a personal level. This first shoot we did during our winter off season features our lovely (already married) friends who were willing to get back in their dress + suit and explore with us. Our main focus was to explore some new photography techniques including in camera double exposures and creating gifs by combining rapidly shot images – so much fun to do! You can see some of both below!

What we love most about this shoot is the beauty of simplicity. Often times, we can get enamored by really detailed and lush styled shoots that take a mini-army of vendors to pull off. Don’t get us wrong – they can be absolutely stunning in their own right. But – we always return to a love for minimalism in our couple’s photography. Connection matters most to us and when we let the focus be on the two sharing a moment together, it truly speaks to our souls.
