We want to start this post off a little differently. Back in June 2018, Emily got in touch with us and described how she was picturing her wedding. Here’s what she said…
“We chose The Ice House in Bethlehem because of it’s industrial and rustic look, we’re obsessed with the dark wood and pops of bright red brick. We’re hoping to do little flowers only bridal bouquets in rich reds, burnt orange, and lots of eucalyptus. For lighting we’re planning on edison bulbs and soft hanging lights with accents of a few Moravian stars (to tie in the history of Bethlehem), candles in mercury glass and rustic lanterns. We’re hoping to do mostly grey and white pumpkins and eucalyptus on tables instead of flowers. We may do a neon sign against a brick wall with a Polaroid camera instead of a photobooth. Bridesmaid dresses will most likely all be different in dark jewel tones, we’re going for an Italian Romantic Gothic theme with colors. We are so drawn to you guys because of how artistic your style is. We’re both relatively creative and love art, in fact we met at Philadelphia University where we were both studying design! We love that all of your shoots are so warm. One last detail that I personally love about your shoots is the fact that you incorporate amazing shots of the kids at weddings, we won’t have a large amount of children at our wedding however we will have all of our nieces and nephews in the wedding, currently we have 7 of them – 3 nephews and 4 nieces! Hopefully this gives you a good idea of what our vision is!”
When looking back at this message, it’s amazing to us how in the course of 16 months these two were able to take this vision and make it a reality. And we were glad to be a part of it!
Emily & Frankie have been really infectious since we first got to talking. The excitement via email and a phone call, and their engagement shoot in Philly where everything just “clicked.” And as Chris pointed out later…”finally someone laughs at my dad jokes, they’re not necessarily included in our service, but I can’t help myself.”
We have always believed that “like attracts like” – so when we got to their wedding prep locations (Emily at the stunning Christmas City Mansion, Frankie at a hotel in Bethlehem – funnily enough the same one we met Nathan & Tayler Pyle for their Bethlehem, PA wedding), it was really quick that we found their friends & family to be just as sweet.
The whole vibe of the day was incredible from start to finish.
The collection of people and wedding vendors made everything so smooth, fun, and perfect for getting our creative juices flowing. We send a special shout out to Danielle Pasternak – the wedding coordinator – who we’ve known for quite some time through the local Rising Tide Society meetups, but seeing in action was a-m-azing!!
Looking at the block of text we’ve already written here, you can probably tell it’s easy for us to rant and rave about this wedding. When amazing style meets amazing people – the magic happens!
