These Eckley Miners Village photos showcase this unique location for this couple’s sweet maternity session. It may seem like a strange choice of location for photos like these, but it was actually incredibly unique and beautiful – the location itself as well as the magical light we encountered this evening.

Our session actually began nervously waiting in the parking lot as a pretty significant rain storm rolled through. On our drive out to Eckley Miners Village, there was no rain in sight! Shortly into our start time, the rain passed and the sun came out to create an awesome backdrop for these two.

As we walked around, we loved getting to learn more about these two and hear the excitement they have for their little one coming soon. We’re fresh off becoming new parents ourselves just a few months ago, so maternity sessions are extra special for us.

Eckley Miners Village has a lot of charm and some areas around were also constructed as film sets that were used in the Molly Maguires films including the company store you see in the first photo here.
