We have to admit – one of our favorite parts about Claire & Steven’s engagement shoot had to be their super cute pup Ralphie. When you scroll down and just look at that face you will get what we mean!!
Seriously though – while editing these photos, we kept laughing at just how cute this dog looked. Some of the shots we got, like the little “family” photo where they are holding him is just too much for our heart’s to handle.
Okay…now that we’ve spent the first couple of paragraphs talking about the dog (how can we not!?!), let’s chat about what other things made this shoot super special.
After booking a wedding package with us, we sent out a wedding guide we’ve put together for all of our couple’s that includes engagement session location ideas. Claire was drawn in to Fonthill Castle in Doylestown, PA – a place we had been to before as visitors, but had never shot at. It is a really cool place, and especially unique for this part of PA.
Because Fonthill Castle is a pretty small location, we suggested adding Peace Valley Park (about 5 minutes away) to the mix for some extra diversity in the photos. The combination of natural environments with the really cool architecture at Fonthill made for a really great photo gallery!
Ultimately – like any engagement shoot, the locations just serve as a backdrop for people to be themselves. As we walked, talked, and got to know each other – we learned that Steven is originally from Scotland, and they both visit pretty regularly. Given Scotland is so well known for it’s castles, it makes Fonthill a perfect backdrop that feels oh so connected to these two in some small way, and it really resonates in the pictures we got of them.
