Stephanie & Nick had an incredible vision for their engagement photos. They wanted to keep them as authentic and real to their own lives together.

We got started by meeting these two at their home. Like a lot of couples in our age range, they just recently moved in, and wanted to have just a few photos to remember this time in their lives. And yes – for the dog lovers out there – they also incorporated a couple shots with their sweet pup Murphy! Look for the “My humans are getting married” sign – cutest thing ever 🙂

After some time at their sweet home, we tailgated over to Beltzville State Park in Lehighton, PA, with their boat in tow. This was a really fun experience for us as photographers. We had never been on a boat like this before – and getting to do it with this super fun couple was ah-mazing!

Nick was our captain for the evening and he brought us to the coolest cove (we had it all to ourselves!), and man did we create some magic together!

When we talked with Steph through email leading up to their engagement shoot, she was actually wondering if doing photos on the boat would be too limiting. We knew we could challenge ourselves to find unique angles and show these two having a great time doing something they love together – and we are so proud of the photos and storytelling that came out of this.

After a quick beer shared between these two, we got back on dry land. We took a little walk up a few trails to take full advantage of sunset – making for a perfect ending to this really unique and fun engagement shoot.

We are so lucky to have the opportunity to photograph so many great couple’s like Steph & Nick. Getting to know these two and document their love together in this really authentic way is something we really loved getting to do, and it stirs up the excitement in us to document their wedding next April!

PS: After delivering these photos, they shared a couple of pictures with us of how they were decorating their house with prints from their engagement session. It’s extra special for us to get this sort of “insider” glimpse into our couple’s lives, and seeing how much they value the photos we’ve taken!
