One of the most interesting aspects of being wedding & portrait photographers has been getting to meet people from so many walks of life. Addie & Matt are accountants in Philly – and join the ranks of lawyers, social media influencers, engineers, politicians, policemen, NFL players, authors, comic creators, veterinarians, salesmen, chefs, librarians, musicians, and more (all of our couple’s are so incredibly unique and talented in their own ways as you can see!).
When Addie first reached out to us, her vision for a Philly engagement shoot sounded awesome to us. They wanted to keep things easy and “Philly as f***”. There are so many great parts of Philadelphia for couple’s portraits – but we decided to kick things off in Center City at City Hall. The epic architecture and little gems like the Broad Street Subway exit make a great backdrop that feels authentically Philly.
In the middle of summer, we also got pretty lucky with a pop up event going on by the City Hall fountains with a DJ pumping music for all the families & kids running through the water to cool off. They also had a really rad “Philly” sign that added a great pop of color into the mix of photos.
After spending about an hour around City Hall, we drove over to the area of Boathouse Row and the Art Museum to have the second part of our shoot. This is another really popular engagement shoot location – and ending on the iconic Rocky steps always provides really great views of the city at sunset.
