Earlier this year we had the awesome opportunity to participate in a Traveling Dress project. Where as photographers we each had 1 week to photograph this dress and then pass it along to the next person. This dress made its way all over the States! When it came our turn to photograph the dress we wanted to have fun and collaborate with some of our favorite vendors in our area and ask a sweet friend of ours to model the dress. All together the look we dreamed of was depicted so perfectly and we couldn’t be any happier! Our first thought was this dress had such a light & ethereal look to it, so we wanted it’s surroundings to compliment it in a way that added a unique touch. Which is why we chose the beach in Asbury Park, NJ in particular. You can’t beat the gorgeous architecture along the Asbury Park Boardwalk along with the surprise elements of dreamlike wall & graffiti art along the buildings (and of course the beach itself!). For pulling together the over all look, hair & makeup was effortless and romantic, and jewelry accented the dress with it’s warm golden hues. We couldn’t have asked for a better day photographing this Traveling Dress and a better team to work with making our dreams come true for it. As a photographer (or any vendor!) if you’re looking to collaborate and connect within your community & with others around the country, a Traveling Dress project is an amazing way to do it! Or finding a local boutique that will lend you one is a way to go too! Anything to get you out there and connecting among your community and getting creative will feed your soul.
