It was a moody late winter day…and we had put together an impromptu shoot at Hugh Moore Canal Park in Easton in just a few hours.
We had originally made plans with another couple to travel to meet us on this day for a mentorship session (we were teaching another aspiring photographer how to take couple’s photos!), but things fell through at the last minute. We put a post out on the old Instagram, and not even 15 minutes later we found a new couple – Michelle & Nick – who were totally down to come out, brave the cold, and take some awesome photos with us! (thanks guys!)
This ended up being a really cool shoot for us, too, as we got to see some new perspectives from our photographer-in-training. Plus – they were super fun to just hang out with for the evening!
While many mentorship sessions will often look to set up a styled shoot with models and all the bells-and-whistles (don’t get us wrong – they are super cool and fun too!), our goal here was to keep things really laid back and casual. The result is photos that are just really authentic, and that fit well in any photographers portfolio.
