While wedding planning can be a little hectic from time to time as any now married couple would know, Bridget & Shawn’s wedding day went through many changes, including shifting venues discussed on a late night Zoom call with us the evening before. Amidst it all, weddings are a beautiful representation of all the great things we sometimes take for granted – being with our friends & family, celebrating life’s big milestones, and even smaller (but totally fun) things like getting to dress up and remember this day fondly for it’s beauty and excitement.
These two had a timeline (that we totally helped them with!) that was a little unconventional, but it turned out well for them. Instead of getting ready photos, we met Shawn & his guys at Playland Park (yes – it’s a place where Beyonce filmed a music video!), a place that held special meeting for these two. We found a spot away from all the crowds along a pier for their First Look, then hopped around for some bridal party photos showing off the setting.
We then traveled to Crawford Mansion, a local community park and event venue with a nice garden area for ceremonies & portraits. Originally, the entire event was planned to be held here, with food trucks and yard games – but due to 2020 restrictions they shifted their reception to T&J Restaurant, not far away. With a smaller guest count comprised mostly of family & close friends, they had a wonderful and exciting reception – with special guests “the dinosaurs” as the bride & her sister dressed up to entertain everyone (just scroll to see!).
