One of the most gorgeous wedding venues in Philadelphia is Water Works by Cescaphe. Situated on the Schuylkill River in the heart of the city, it offers stunning and scenic backdrops. While weddings in 2020 have seen many changes, including at this venue (with everything shifting to be held outdoors), it still had all the charm and vibes one would expect for a venue like this.
The story for Sophia + Andy’s wedding took many twists and turns. They rescheduled their originally planned March 2020 wedding for September, and still felt the impacts of various restrictions. With some guest list reshaping, they were able to host an incredibly beautiful intimate wedding for their family and close friends.
As you can see in these photos, their day is incredibly beautiful, memorable, and honestly – magazine worthy. It was filled with so much warmth, and even though nature had to offer a looming threat of rain, they held their ceremony at the Water Works Gazebo with drizzle in the skies (before they opened up), and we came back out for the last of the gorgeous light for portraits that made us feel like we were in Italy instead of Philly.
